ごく普通の、どこにでもある大手のスーパーなんだが、他の支店も同じような選曲なんだろうか。
この店に詳しい店員がいるのか、それとも80年代あたりの曲は使用料がお安くなってるから一律で流してるのか。
キャベツを手にしながらそんなことを考えても、1円も安くならないってのに。

という彼女の有名なハミングは、なぜかリミックス版の編曲によって広く親しまれるようになった。
これの原音はアルバム「ソリテュード・スタンディング」の冒頭に収録されていて、ハミングそのものは１回だけ。
口遊むような詩語りとこのハミングが終わると、大ヒットした曲「ルカ」が流れ始めるのだ、懐かしい。
なお、MPEGでMP3を開発した技術者が大ファンで、この「トムズ・ダイナー」が音声圧縮の評価基準になっている。
